Wildlife of ceylon
- Overview
Sri Lanka’s wild heart beats through every day of this journey. Wildlife of Ceylon blends iconic heritage with thrilling nature experiences—think the elephant-rich plains of Minneriya, the leopard country of Yala, and the wind-swept highlands of Horton Plains. Along the way you’ll step into ancient capitals and sacred sites, from Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa to Sigiriya and the Dambulla Cave Temple, and feel the rhythm of life in Kandy’s temples, markets, and gardens.
The route then softens into tea-clad hills and waterfall valleys around Nuwara Eliya and Ella before curving down to the coast. Explore Galle’s storied fort, drift through the mangroves on the Madu River, meet conservationists at the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, and unwind on Bentota’s golden beaches. A polished finish in Colombo—city icons, galleries, and modern malls—rounds out a balanced, wildlife-forward adventure with plenty of culture and leisure.
